Lu Shien Lee – Club President

More commonly known as Loosh (please don’t spell it ‘Lush’), this 5/7 frisbee boi has been helping with the club since he started university. Before then, he attended the prestigious Cornwall Park District School, where he won the 2007 Jubilee Prize for All Round Excellence at 11 years old. This was his peak. Since then, he has devoted himself to cheeseburgers, whisky, and post-ironic dabbing. Loosh dances like he’s hurt, works like nobody’s watching, and loves like he needs the money.

Stephanie Shen

Steph properly entered the frisbee scene in 2015 in the hopes of becoming somewhat fit and make friends during her first year of Uni. While she may have only achieved one of those goals, she has since enjoyed completing the female:male ratio in games. Three years of a nutrition degree has taught Steph that lollies, Gatorade and bananas will always be the best tournament fuel. On her wish list this Christmas is another pair of clean socks and to learn how to layout without getting whiplash. Most importantly, her least favourite bird is a goose.

3

Ian Lim – Club Treasurer

Your boy Dollar G Ian likes to get his hands on the money, and makes his way in the world through carefully crafted emails to himself – and occasionally others. Ian really likes indoor, calculators, Google Sheets, and bidding on every disc in a 100m radius. When he’s not chasing plastic, you can find this loyal Hallensteins shopper browsing the web for new suits, jamming to Shawn Mendes, or getting abused in beer pong.

4

Anna Crosby – Club Secretary

Now that Anna is not underage, she likes to spend time getting moderately sloshed at a variety of frisbee tournaments. However, she is then able to pick it up the next day and continue wrecking everyone with schwifty handler cuts and a slick, occasionally accurate huck. Anna tends to break things, mainly herself, but likes to continue playing frisbee with a variety of casts and fractured bones. Clearly the better Crosby, Anna began playing in 2013 and has spent the years since in a variety of national teams. Her only weakness: her blindness. Don’t forget to tell her who she’s marking in great detail, because she won’t be able to see them until she’s halfway down the field.

5

Benjamin Chong

With a background in lesser known sports such as hockey, badminton and table tennis, Benjamin ‘Bingbong’ Chong made the switch to ultimate in 2009 and has never looked back. His flicks are clean as his tights are outrageous, and his love of the game is rivaled only by his quirkiness; with a passion for dancing, flowers, and >70% fat content mayonnaise.

6

Tim Meyer-Smith

Tim is no ordinary man, he is more like anthropomorphic reindeer. Tim has spent the last three years hoping no one on the exec will notice his reindeer-like qualities. He started playing ultimate so that he could gallop around a field with far less suspicion. Nowadays Tim organises the competitive side of AUUC, along with a few tournament here and there. Tim dreams that one day, he can run off into the sunset knowing that he left AUUC in a better place.

7

Emma Menzies

It’s only been a year, but Emma has become quite a fan of frisbee. A rather big fan. Possibly the biggest fan. Certainly a bigger fan than the industrial grade ones which they use to cool down the sweaty people in gyms. Her decibel output is certainly higher, too. You can probably locate her if you listen out for general whoops of amazement and hyena-esk laughter. Of course, all the noise posturing and compensation for the fact that she’s 5’3, lacks hops, and can’t lay out. C l o s e o n e. Emma’s least favourite bird is a swan, though the Kea comes in as a close second.

8

Tim Sinclair

Tim is a nocturnal character. Some liken him to a ghost, floating as a semi-transparent figure in the corner of photos, or scaring you with an early morning notification for a Reddit link. In Tim’s opinion, the wee hours of the morning are also good for ventures such as Rocket League™. His mysterious ghost powers are fully exercised in the balance of this and Ultimate Frisbee. You mightn’t think that there are enough hours in a day for the amount of virtual and physical sport which Tim fits in, but you’ve really underestimated his powers.
